The Empowered Woman
In this 3-part mini-retreat series, join the Herd, and Horse Medicine Leadership Facilitators Brittany Ashworth and Breanne Kerr of Wildwynd Equine in gaining an understanding of how horses can teach us the gift of Empowerment. We will share with you how to feel self-empowered through our authenticity, gain empowerment in our relationships with others, and how we can remain empowered in navigating the external world. It is an opportunity to stand alongside other women on the same journey as you, trying to find ways to step into their own personal power.
1. The Empowered
Self
Do you find yourself asking questions like, who am I truly? Where in my life can I be witnessed for the truth of who I am? Or has life thrown you off the path that feels aligned for you? This experience will help guide you back home to your authenticity.
When you work with horses, they show you a direct mirrored reflection of who you are, and what is asking to be supported or healed at this time. With their gentle guidance, you can learn about yourself; who you are, who you want to be, and where you are being invited to step into something within yourself. They will support you in embodying what it means to be your own leader, taking ownership of your growth, as an Empowered Being.

2. The Empowered Relationship
Do you lose yourself in your relationships? Are you someone who forfeits your needs to support others? Or maybe you feel you can never find an authentic connection? This experience invites you to explore how you show up in relationships and how to find deeper connections.

Horses, by nature, show up authentically as themselves in every interaction. They respond to the energy presented, not necessarily the “who” within an exchange. This enables them to always take care of their needs first, and in turn, can show up collectively at their best for each other. They show us how and where we are able to transform our relationships with others, to support our collectives. It becomes an embodied practice, rather than a spoken one, which is empowering for us to take back into our lives.

3. The Empowered
Being
Do you struggle to remain in your power in the external world, workplace, public, or community? Maybe you try to keep yourself small, not to make a ripple in society. Or all your life you’ve not allowed yourself to take up space? This experience will support you in embodying your power external to yourself.

We all know that horses emit a powerful presence. It can be felt just by looking at a photograph of them. They show up authentically in their power and share their individual magic and energy. They embrace who they are, for all their unique qualities, and when given the right opportunity, they share and teach this to others. When in partnership with them, we can experience the impact of how this brings fluidity, collaboration, and safety to the space.
